Behind the Brand

I started Toys From The Woods as a new mum, looking for toys that felt right—simple, sturdy, and made for how kids actually play.

As both a teacher and parent, I saw how noisy, flashy toys often distract more than they engage. I wanted something different—something that nurtures focus, creativity, and calm.

When I couldn't find the toys I dreamt for my baby I started to create my own collection: thoughtful wooden toys that spark curiosity, build independence, and bring peaceful moments back to playtime.

Yes. We carefully choose our toys from suppliers who use responsibly sourced wood and child-safe, non-toxic finishes. Every product is safety tested and built to pass strict safety measures.

What is the recommended age for your toys?

We have toys designed for little ones from birth all the way to age 7+ and older. You will find our collections grouped in key ages of development to make your selections easier.

Are your toys Montessori or Waldorf inspired?

Some of our designs fall into the Montessori and Waldorf ideologies — simple, open-ended toys that encourage imagination, exploration, and learning by hand.

How do I care for and clean wooden toys?

Simply clean them with damp cloth and let them air dry. No harsh chemicals or water submersion, please. With proper care, they can be played with for years — even generations.

When will I receive my order?

Your order is usually posted within 1-2 working days. Custom orders may take longer. We offer standard and express delivery options so that you can order for a timeframe which suits you.

Where are your toys made?

We have a range of suppliers from Europe and around the world such as Turkey and Ukraine. Some of our bigger items have been designed in the UK and made in China. All items are carefully selected for their quality, sustainability, and craftsmanship.

Can I return my order?

If you change your mind or something isn’t right with your purchase, no worries - returning is easy! Simply send your item back to us within 28 days for a full refund.
